Prior to DIF Wallpaper Stripper, most professional paperhangers would not strip wallpaper. The reason: Removing wallcoverings was so difficult and took so much time that homeowners balked at paying what a contractor had to charge to cover his labor costs.

Homeowners did not want to strip wallcoverings either. This was one DIY task they avoided - difficult, messy, and slow.

DIF Wallpaper Stripper changed all that. Professionals realized that with DIF they could strip wallcoverings quickly, reliably, and at a price consumers could afford - and at which they could make money. It also meant more business for them since they got the hanging work as well as the stripping.

DIF is different from any other wallpaper remover on the market. It is the only one that contains special enzymes - a unique formulation on which Zinsser holds patents. In contrast to DIF, ordinary wallpaper removers, which merely wet the paper and the paste, require a lot of scraping and do not work well except on loose sections. Softened paste tends to build up on the scraper blades, blunting it and leading to wall gouging. DIF eliminated damage to walls where removal of uncoated, water-permeable wallpaper was involved.

Using DIF is better than attempting to remove wallpaper with hot water, vinegar and water, or other "home brew" solutions. DIF requires no steamers, so you don't have to bear the cost, mess, difficulty, or danger associated with the use and rental of wallpaper steamers.
